Wolverhampton Wanderers are preparing a £20m bid for Watford’s Georgian attacking football midfielder Georgi Shakhvetashe.

The Sun, a British media outlet reported that. Shakhwetashe has become a top target for Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers in the January transfer window. As a way to bolster head coach Gary O’Neill’s squad in their bid to avoid relegation UFABET 

O’Neill is reportedly keen to bolster his attacking options and has been eyeing Shakhvetashe. A 25-year-old midfielder who has impressed for Watford in the Championship at the start of the 2024-25 season. And believes he can develop into a Premier League sensation.

Wolves sent scouts to watch Shakhwetashe in Watford’s Championship defeat at Leeds United last week and received a positive report back. Making him a potential January transfer target.

Watford signed Shakhvetashe from Gent on an initial loan deal before making the deal permanent for £2m. And are now asking at least £20m for the Georgian midfielder.

As well as penning a new deal, he has scored once and provided two assists in 12 Championship appearances this term.

Meanwhile, the midfield ace also has nine goals in 33 caps for Georgia.

He made his international debut in 2018 aged just 18 and was part of the Crusaders’ Euro 2024 squad.
